Primary Responsibilities
HDR has an opportunity for a Senior Hydrologist to support the continued development of our Alaska Water Programs. Qualified candidates will have experience in the following areas:
General Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H;) experience
Bridge Scour
H&H; numerical modeling (HEC-RAS, SRH-2D)
Development of Technical Reports
The Senior Hydrologist will provide technical expertise in various H&H; assignments as well as provide client management and business development support, strategy and planning, project and task management on hydrology related projects. Specific responsibilities include H&H; analyses and project deliverables for various municipalities, counties, state / federal agencies and the industrial market sector. Will serve as project manager on hydrology-related projects and will prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates. Lead production and QA/QC review of hydrology studies and technical reports. Will work independently as well as plan, organize, and coordinate the work of teams of professionals and technicians.

','!*!Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Hydrology-related field is required.
Minimum 10 years of hydrology experience, including with various hydraulic modeling programs.
Must have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects, resource loading, and budgets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
Experienced in HEC-RAS 2D
Experienced in SRH-2D
Preferred Qualifications
15 years of hydrology experience
Doctorate degree in hydrology-related field
Known entity in the Alaska market
