Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Groton, CT is currently looking for a Analytical Chemist I to join their expanding team. Position Details: Job Title: Analytical Chemist I/Pharma Industry Duration: 18 month contract, extendable up to 36 months Location: Groton, CT Note: The client has the right-to-hire you as a permanent employee at any time during or after the end of the contract.
You may participate in the company group medical insurance plan Job Description: This job function provides development of LC-MS/MS analytical methods, and quantitative analysis of new chemical entities in weekly in-vitro ADME and pharmacology assays to support early drug discovery. Education, Experience and Technical Requirements: BS in Biochemistry or Chemistry with 2-4 years of experience or MS with 1-3 years of experience in bioanalysis Experience with bioanalytical techniques (primarily LC/MS/MS) Experience with LC/MS/MS method development Experience with troubleshooting of bioanalytical instrumentation Familiarity with automation and liquid handling systems Ability to rapidly familiarize with various equipment, instrumentation and software Ability to schedule and coordinate multiple activities Ability to communicate effectively in a high-throughput environment with tight timelines Primary Responsibilities: Sample preparation and analysis using Pharmaceutical supplied protocols Data review and processing according to Pharmaceutical supplied protocols Upload data into Pharmaceutical database and communicate results to multiple groups Maintain LC-MS/MS instrumentation and bioanalytical consumables inventory Expectations: Analytical methods will be developed within 24 hrs from receipt of compounds from Sample Logistics and uploaded to Pharmaceutical database Assay samples are to be analyzed ASAP Assay results must be reviewed and communicated to screener 24 hrs from bioanalytical run completion Entire cycle time from method development to published assay results is less than seven (7) days. Hard Skills: Experience with in vitro lab techniques Pipe heading Handling of hazardous chemicals Soft skills: Driven Creative Teamwork Motivated Comments: Must comply with return to site policy.
