Senior Formulation Scientist

Profile

Design and conduct pre-formulation and formulation studies, process development, and optimization of dosage form designs; optimization of the process by DOE and QbD methods and scaling up of the formulation studies to pilot/production scale; independently carry out analysis of the raw materials, API’s, excipients, and drug products with all needed methods; independently follow the study guide, carry out studies to collect data, and report results to group leader and upper management team; create and revise technical reports, maintain appropriate lab records, prepare and review of CMA, CQA, control strategy, PDR, Technology transfer protocols, and other FMEA documents; assist in devising new formulations or refining existing ones and transferring to partner for drug product formulation; review of manufacturing batch records, packaging records, scaleup batch records, protocols, and complete product development reports for ANDA submission; coordinate with CMO and various cross functional teams to respond to Drug product deficiencies for different regulatory agencies; present various laboratory outcomes with clients, upper management, and CMO’s to take project technical decisions; review and interpretation of various analytical, characterization, and Extractable / Leachable data established using various analytical tools (HPLC, LCMS, 2D-LCMS, SEC-UV, SV-AUC, NMR, and XRD); propose improvements based on the formulation studies; maintain and modify the related instrument/equipment; responsible with the hardware development / acquisition needed for formulation and PD work; and work with different departments in the company at various stages of the drug product development.



Minimum Educational Requirement: Master of Science in Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmacy or Equivalent.



Compensation: $70,000.00 per year.



Monday-Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break, 40 hours per week).
