Breastfeeding Can Boost Ability in Climbing Social Ladder

Findings from the online publication, “ Archives of Disease in Childhood,” show that breastfed children are most likely to climb the social ladder and handle stress better than those who were not fed in that manner. The findings were inconclusive as to whether or not the breast milk contributed to the intellect and stress management of the babies or if the skin contact with the mother contributed to the difference in social skills and intellect of two generations. The findings were based on the social status and intellect of 17,419 and 16,771 children born in 1958 and 1970, respectively.
