Natural Resources Jobs description

Resources scientists work to manage resources. Resources jobs may be in the field of forestry, agriculture, soil science, renewable energy etc. A water resource scientist may be responsible for water resources schemes, flood management, land drainage consents and coastal developments. Similarly, a renewable resources specialist may work on energy efficiency and auditing, sustainable design and clean development mechanism. A renewable resources scientist will be responsible for climate change issues, waste minimization programs, solid waste compliance and environmental management systems. A resources scientist will also be responsible for planning, budgeting and completion of projects, by optimum utilization of all the resources of the company. A scientist resources job applicant also needs to be updated with current laws and regulations applicable to resource management.

Scientist resources jobs require a bachelor’s degree in natural resource science/ management or related field. Previous professional experience is preferred. Other requirements of the job are effective leadership, technical, writing and communication skills.
