Development Scientist Jobs description
A product development scientist is responsible for developing new products and improving and modifying existing products. A development scientist also gives technical recommendations based on research and development activities.The responsibilities of a development scientist include providing scientific skills and technical direction to enable cost effective commercialization of new products, working with raw material suppliers to ensure best raw material for development work, investigating the properties of new ingredients and their effects on the final product, keeping up-to-date with new product launches and compliance of regulatory issues related to product quality. A development scientist may also review and draft scientific and validation documents, prepare technical reports and attend technical meetings and seminars.
Development scientist jobs are available to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field from an accredited institute. Supervisory positions may require a master’s degree. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills are an added bonus.
