Clinical Scientist Jobs description
Clinical scientists are medical experts who help clinical staff in their work with patients. Clinical scientists may specialize in various areas like nephrology, biochemistry, pathology, genetics etc. A clinical scientist is responsible for researching and testing new methods of treatment with strict adherence to regulatory requirements, designing and developing diagnostic and treatment instruments, monitoring and tracking clinical trial progress, and mentoring scientists, medical officers, lab workers and support staff.Other duties of a clinical scientist include technical troubleshooting, documenting quality control procedures, equipment maintenance, composing scientific data, briefing books, manuscripts, poster presentations etc, attending advisory board and regulatory agency meetings and interacting with marketing departments to support commercialization of new products.
Clinical scientist job openings are available to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field. Candidate must hold a current and valid license. Previous experience in a clinical lab setting is preferred. Other prerequisites include strong writing and computer skills.
