Immunology Laboratory Supervisor
Job Profile
We are currently seeking a Lab Supervisor who will be responsible for managing technical testing departments in a high volume reference laboratory. Responsibilities may include but not limited to supervision of staff, processes quality control, and overall production operation of the immunoassay department testing TSH, Hepatitis, HIV, Tumor Makers, and other immunoassay/serology tests. Supervisor will assign, oversee, and review the quality of employee work, direct all phases of work, quality, service, and costs, and perform testing and special projects as required. Supervisor will have direct management of 15 FTEs.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to be flexible, manage multiple tasks, work independently and with a team and be results oriented to provide Quality Results in a Timely Manner. Candidate must be accountable, teachable, and able to work with a diverse and tenured staff.
This is a 3rd shift opporutunity with a regular work schedule of Tuesday-Saturday 12am-8:30am..
Desired Skills & Experience
License/Certification/Education: Normally Requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/1-3 years of supervisory experience. Must meet all State and Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements. Candidate is a Medical Technologist (MT) with ASCP, NCA, or AMT certification or has equivocal experience with a 4 year degree. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and ISO is a plus.
