Minimum Requirements
: Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field (Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Hydrogeology, Biology, etc).Entry-Level position.Able to perform various job-related tasks while bending, kneeling, standing and lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Able to climb ladders, work at heights and have a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrains and in a wide range of weather conditions.Able to wear an air-purifying respirator as required by OSHA standards.Able to wear supplied-air respirators and SCBA's as needed.Enrollment in the medical monitoring program, requiring initial and annual physicals and initial and random drug screenings.Able to drive long distances.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000).Effective time-management, analytical and decision making skills).Articulate with a professional presence.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Valid Driver's License.Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.

The successful candidate will be part of the Environmental Business Line in our Salem, NH office. This office, which is responsible for a wide range of environmental-related work, consists of approximately 20 team members ranging in experience from 2 to more than 30 years.This position will report directly to an Environmental Project Manager.Provide support for various environmental projects throughout New England.Environmental field work and reporting/data evaluation.Interact with clients and possibly regulatory agencies, as well as with multi-discipline and multi-office teams with URS.URS seeks individuals who are motivated to learn, grow and seek out new project responsibilities.
