**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., Inc., a leader in developing innovative solutions to client environmental liabilities, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time geologist with QA experience to join the Geosciences Department at the Kingston, Tennessee, office. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology with 4 to 6 years of experience in the environmental field. Since our inception in 1987, we have enjoyed long-term relationships with Fortune 500 companies and provide high-quality environmental consulting services using emerging science and technology.
Duties for this position will include: groundwater, surface water, sediment and soil sampling; oversight of drilling operations including borehole logging; groundwater monitoring well installation using a variety of drilling techniques; hydrogeologic and aquifer analysis and interpretation; direct-push sampling; and report preparation.
Critical duties will include performing quality assurance (QA) services associated with sample collection, transportation, and storage as well as oversights of environmental data collection activities performed by other consultants on behalf of our Fortune 50 clients.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required along with the ability to organize and assess field and laboratory data. Office experience should include the use of Microsoft
Office software, particularly MS Word and MS Excel. QA experience is preferred. This position includes considerable fieldwork and will involve considerable travel for field audits. Most fieldwork is local, but most of the field audits require overnight domestic travel; such travel is expected to comprise up to 50% of field time.
