Friday, May 27, 2026 11:11:57 AM Job Description - Environmental Fate Modeling Scientist (002M2) Job Description Environmental Fate Modeling Scientist - 002M2 Description Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Regulatory Environmental Sciences Technology Center (ESTC) as an Environmental Fate Modeling Scientist. In this role, you will conduct quantitative exposure modeling for crop chemical products globally, encompassing all modes of environmental fate and transport, and considering all paths of exposure in the environment. Your efforts will contribute to product risk assessments for regulatory submissions and the development of mitigation measures intended to protect endangered species, preserve water quality, and reduce spray drift. Responsibilities: Develop novel models and/or modify existing models to support global product development and stewardship programs Conduct exposure assessments in support of global regulatory approvals Manage global water quality programs and initiatives Develop protocols and write regulatory reports and summaries Provide technical support for global stewardship and sustainability initiatives Participate in various industry task forces and work groups involved with exposure modeling and assessment Qualifications Required Skills/Experience: MS in Environmental Sciences, Environmental or Agricultural Engineering, or related environmental focused field of study. 5 years relevant industry experience 3 years direct experience in environmental modeling and exposure assessments Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, cross-functional, multidisciplinary organization is essential. Outstanding oral and written communication skills Desired Skills/Experience: PhD in Environmental Sciences, Environmental or Agricultural Engineering, or related environmental focused field of study Previous experience in the Crop Protection/Agriculture industry Experience working under EPA and/or OECD Good Laboratory Practices regulations Experience with life cycle assessments and ecological models used in risk assessment Strong background in environmental fate and transport processes, hydrogeology, environmental chemistry, environmental modeling, GIS (including spatial analysis), and statistical procedures used in environmental sciences Job Research & Development Primary Location North America-USA-Missouri-St. Louis Organization Reg Prod Characterization & Sfty Ctr_51013125 Schedule Full-time
