Role:
The Data Scientist will apply expertise in predictive modeling, Bayesian modeling, multivariate regression, logistic regression, machine learning, cluster analysis, decision trees, time series analysis and forecasting, factor analysis, and data visualization to support client consultation and solution design in data mining and predictive analytics. This role is to provide insights into how to analyze data to identify patterns or predict trends, and promote analytics innovations to Company’s business operations and client solutions. The Data Scientist will also help clients and Company extract business value from Big Data.
Requirements:
Applies predictive modeling, data mining, and quantitative analysis to key client business issues, and uses expertise to extract the essence of complex, multi-faceted data and express its meaning to both technical and non-technical audiences Apply analysis and data modeling experience across a broad range of industries Demonstrates superior communication of complex concepts and issues effectively, selecting language, tone, and format perfectly targeted to the audience, ensuring that key information is being received Defines and implements best practices and standards to drive quality into the delivery of client solutions
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, engineering, economics, or related fields (Master's degree required, PhD preferred). Three or more years in the work environment applying techniques including Bayesian modeling, multivariate regression, logistic regression, machine learning, cluster analysis, decision trees, time series analysis and forecasting, factor analysis, and data visualization. Strong algorithmic design and programming skills. Capable of designing and programming new data mining algorithms. Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis tool such as R, SAS, or SPSS. One or more years of experience in developing big-data applications and analytics preferred. Recruiter: Donna Bacon
