Primary Responsibilities Assist in the timely and accurate completion of small- to mid-scale tasks of average complexity and/or assist in the completion of portions of projects that are complex Perform routine environmental assignments requiring standard techniques and procedures on projects that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables Assist in addressing day-to-day problems, primarily of a technical nature, on projects Interact with the onsite client throughout the execution of tasks as directed by those in supervision Perform other duties as needed #LI-EH1 Qualifications Required 5 years of relevant experience Associate or bachelor's degree in relevant environmental science or related field Interest in working at a field office location with a mix of field and office work on a daily basis Proven verbal and writing skills Strong commitment to safety, including following health and safety protocols Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures) Experience preparing technical reports An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture Preferred 40-hour HAZWOPER training Prior experience and/or knowledge in the operation and maintenance of groundwater extraction and treatment systems The ability to obtain an N-2 operator's license for future responsibility of onsite groundwater extraction and treatment system Experience and/or certifications in GIS Prior experience and basic knowledge of federal and New York/New Jersey environmental regulations Local candidates preferred Why HDR At HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
