Radiance Technologies is seeking a quantum engineer/scientist to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Technical Center, Research Directorate, Space and IAMD Technologies Division (SITD) in Huntsville, AL. The quantum engineer/scientist will support efforts to design, develop, and test Army quantum science and technology (S&T;) and research and development (R&D;) programs. This position requires a talented quantum engineer/scientist that can work with a multi-disciplined team to perform engineering analysis to guide all phases of the design process, including requirement design, development, and test and evaluation. The quantum engineer/scientist will assist with scheduling, planning, budgeting, and managing systems engineering activities and development for hardware and software products. In addition, the quantum engineer/scientist will assist in the development and maintenance of program execution and advocacy briefings to internal and external organizations.
Responsibilities
Provide quantum subject matter expertise to the execution of current projects as well as identification of new S&T; concepts to be explored.
Derive and maintain system technical requirements.
Participate and provide technical guidance during the system design activities.
Provide oversight and/or perform complex integration activities as necessary.
Assist with the development and execution of system tests and demonstrations.
Develop and maintain project schedules provided to the project manager.
Develop and maintain program execution and advocacy briefings to internal and external organizations.
Define and document cost and schedule implications for proposed design changes.
Exercise independent and professional judgment under moderate supervision in solving cost and scheduling problems.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or related field.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related field.
Proficient with S&T; program management activities.
Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
U.S. citizenship with a SECRET clearance
Required Experience
5 years of experience performing quantum design, development, and/or test and evaluation.
