SUMMARY: The helps to coordinate and drive activities that ensure customers develop great tasting products to launch in the market. The Senior Scientist facilitates development, evaluation and selection of potential natural flavors to determine their commercial viability and then drives activities necessary to support their future launch. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Scientist is responsible for helping drive the company's growth by emphasizing technical development and support activities, Including: \u2022 Identify new opportunities in his\/her region, assessing potential value, and \opening the door \ for the brand and support sales' close. \u2022 Work with the safes team for support plans to achieve the vision for the business in North America and Global teams. \u2022 Ensure development of high quality prototypes for customer and trade show presentations from concept to finished product. \u2022 Define application development plans that help to hone in on the optimal use of ingredients from the\u00a0flavor portfolio. \u2022 Provide product development technical guidance to customers on optimal approaches to their development opportunities. \u2022 Build insights based on development learnings that can be used to accelerate customer development timelines. \u2022 Package existing information and fillinformation gaps required to support the technical sale of the portfolio. \u2022 Develop well supported recommendations on formulation next steps based on results analytic evaluations. \u2022 Manage knowledge sharing through the use of technology such as Salesforce.com and Alfresco. \u2022 Manage budgets within assigned limits. Education\/Experience \u2022 BS or MS degree in food science or related fields. \u2022 4 or more years of experience In the food & beverages' industry, either in a food ingredients company with sweeteners or flavors or F&B companies' R&D department (beverages industry preferred). \u2022 Experience in a larger corporate setting, proven track record of sound fundamental business practices. \u2022 Success in a smaller, more entrepreneurial environment where opportunities must be identified and seized in order to succeed. \u2022 Experience with food ingredients preferred and proven ability to foster and build strategic vendor partnerships and customer relationships. \u2022 Experience in a multi-national\/global environment preferred. \u2022 Equivalent combination of education and experience. Laboratory Experience \u2022 Comprehensive understanding of R&D processes, as well as an extensive experience in ingredients' application. \u2022 Demonstrated project management, highly organized in keeping track of different projects and technical information. , Knowledge of sensory evaluation and laboratory management are required. \u2022 Good background of different analytical and instrumental measurements. Language Ability , Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required. Able to express or exchange ideas by speaking and having the ability to deliver or receive detailed information either written or verbal. , Knowledge\/fluency of one or more additional languages extremely desirable. General Skills , Social and cultural perceptiveness - aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. \u2022 Relationship building in multiple settings.
