Description: Perform the research, analysis, design and development of new technologies, techniques, and systems for remote sensing, data analytics, and exploitation using Quantum Computing (QC). Perform the research and development of algorithms and applications, including concept development, analysis, modeling and simulation, design, implementation, and testing. Perform technical writing for reports and proposals, prepare and deliver presentations, interact with teammates and customers, and both lead and support technical development projects. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, internal and external customers, suppliers, and academic/industry collaborators. Perform other duties as necessary. The successful candidate will have strong analytic and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.Desired Skills: The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency or mastery of at least several of the desired skills, as well as the interest, motivation and ability to learn and grow in the other desired skill areas. Experience in design and development of algorithms and applications for Quantum Annealers.Hands-on experience with near-term Quantum Annealing hardware implementations (e.g. D-Wave).Experience in design and development of algorithms and applications for machine learning using quantum and/or classical computing.Experience in design and development of algorithms and applications for optimization using quantum and/or classical computing.Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C/C .Quality of work as evidenced by presentations at scientific conferences and/or publications in peer-reviewed journals. Basic Qualifications: The candidate must have a strong understanding of the physics and mathematics associated with Quantum Computing and the design and development of algorithms and applications of Quantum Computing.The candidate must have strong technical writing, presentation and overall communication skills for reports, proposals, technical presentations, and interaction with customers, team members, suppliers, and academic/industry collaborators.
