The successful candidate will have:
knowledge and demonstrated a track record to develop and validate high throughput assays (biochemical and cellular) on cost effective and up-to-date technical platforms a good understanding of cell signaling in cancer biology broad experiences in assay trouble shooting and exploration of new technology platforms to enhance the infrastructure for discovery program support ability to manage across projects across functional lines and geographic sites/locations identify and/or innovate new technologies or functional line projects that bring value and efficiency to BMS Collaborate with colleagues across R&D to develop high-quality cell-based assays that align with program strategy and adapt for automated high-throughput screening. Generate and interpret complex data and mechanistic data packages to generate new hypothesis and design new experiments represent technical and scientific ideas, as well as project progress/updates to preclinical research teams, portfolio governance and LDO colleagues strong collaborative and written/verbal communication skills and a positive attitude to interact with multiple stakeholders (e.g. therapeutic area teams, Chemistry and Biology leads and outside vendors), Scientific leadership both at the bench and at data analysis for complex cell based assays. Leadership skills to direct a team of junior scientists in cell-based and biochemical assay design and implementation for rapid turn-around time.
Qualifications:
PH. D with minimal 8 years of scientific experience in tumor oncology.
Comprehensive technical expertise in developing and performing diverse in vitro biochemical and complex cell-based assays
Hands-on experience with multiple cell-based and biochemical assay technologies such as flow cytometry, HTRF, qPCR, etc
Hands on knowledge of contemporary automated platforms used for hit identification and lead optimization instrumentation
Proficiency in designing 384 and 1536 well assays and adept with robotics and lab automation
Broad knowledge in compound screening strategy is critical
Technology development and implementation experience will be very useful
Work with cross-functional project teams to implement automated solutions for assay automation
Demonstrated excellence in both written and oral communication and a strong desire to lead in cross functional teams to establish productive collaborations across large portfolios
