Manager, Data Science and Advanced Analytics
Kforce's client, a leading media giant, is seeking a Manager, Data Science and Advanced Analytics. This role sits within marketing. They are seeking marketing and media focused backgrounds (non-IT). This role is located in New York, New York (NY). Summary: The company is seeking a data scientist to join their Analytics, Research & Insights team in the Marketing group. For this full-time Manager, Data Science & Advanced Analytics position, the client is seeking a person with strong programming, data management and statistical skills. In this role, you will build advanced analytic models and recommendations to enable marketing partners to deliver customer centric products and offers to customers. Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with marketing teams to ensure that all test populations are unbiased and being setup with proper statistical rigor
Design tests and provide statistical evaluation of results
Develop and implement predictive models
Ensure that modeling data is being reviewed regularly and updated as deemed appropriate
Review model build parameters within Pega tool; Ensure that dates are formatted as date fields, categorical data is recoded to be ordinal where applicable, etc.
Monitor model performance via the Pega Model Dashboard
Consult with marketing partners in order to define and build appropriate predictive assets
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent, relevant experience
5 years of experience working with massive datasets for analytics, experience with big data technology (Hadoop, Hive, PIG, Hortonworks, Cloudera)
Experience with distributed computing, predictive modeling, story-telling & visualizing
Experience with Algorithms and Machine Learning Algorithms
Ability to work with (clean, massage, organize) raw data, including big data, knowledge of preprocessing procedures and ability to prepare data for modeling; data cleaning skills required
