Job Summary

Jumpstart your career in environmental consulting in our Madison or Milwaukee, Wisconsin offices. We are a 40 person team seeking a full-time Hydrogeologist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Designing and implementing soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion investigations and remediations at landfills, industrial facilities, and commercial sites

Processing and analyzing data, performing statistical evaluations, and preparing reports of scientific data using prescribed methods, templates, or resources

Preparing written documents (field notes and forms, reports, proposals, bid documents, health & safety plans, etc.) in a clear and concise manner

Assisting with client development

Researching technical data and regulations

Coordinating work with contractors, laboratories, and regulators

Completing field and office assignments

Pursuing technical improvement for self and company


Bachelor’s Degree in geology or hydrogeology required. Master’s degree preferred.

3 years of relevant experience required, Relevant experience may include groundwater data analysis, groundwater statistical evaluation, drilling oversight, logging soil borings, collecting soil and groundwater samples, and writing technical reports. Master’s Degree in Geology can be a substitute for experience.

Professional Geologist (PG) licensure or ability to acquired.

Experience with Access or other database formats preferred.

Experience with groundwater monitoring system design and implementation for municipal solid waste and industrial landfills, industrial and commercial sites preferred.

Experience with federal and state regulatory interpretation and compliance preferred.

Experience with Federal Rule 40 CFR 257 preferred.

Experience with NR 700, Wisconsin Administrative Code and/or other State environmental remediation codes and procedures.

Experience with and/or interest in Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other property transaction due diligence services

Completion of (or willingness to complete) a 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training and annual refresher training required.

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.

Excellent oral and written (technical) communication skills required.
