Profile

Providence, a multidiscipline environmental and engineering consulting firm with corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge and offices in Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Houma, Louisiana, seeks an entry level environmental scientist\/geologist\/engineer for its Site Evaluation & Remediation Services Group. Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced environmental staff to pursue a career in the following areas across a diverse client base:
Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments
Risk Evaluation & Corrective Action Program Investigations & Assessments
Remedial Action
Environmental assessments
It is expected that the successful candidate would have the following roles and responsibilities:
Assist project managers in proposal preparation
Assist in preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Record data, prepare reports, provide analysis and interpretations
Research information relating to environmental regulations
The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

Flexibility to work outside routine business hours as needed Values being part of a team, but is able to work and think independently Personal responsibility and accountability for work Attention to detail and completeness
Not intimidated to learn new things

Ability to juggle multiple projects and multitask throughout the day
Minimum Qualifications Candidate must be detail oriented, proficient with Microsoft Office products, flexible with work hours and locations, and a team player with good communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills. \u00a0Fieldwork involving overnight travel is sometimes required.
B.S.\/M.S. in geology \/ hydrogeology, environmental sciences, environmental \/ chemical \/ civil \/ mechanical \/ agricultural engineering, or related fields and 0-2 years of related experience.
