nWeston & Sampson is currently seeking a Geologist or Field Environmental Scientist with 0-3 years of experience for our Environmental Geotechnical and Energy (EGE) discipline in our Albany, NY office. The candidate will bring a strong work ethic and who would like to be part of a growing team. Salary range is $52,000 - $55,000.n nWhat youu2019ll do:nn Collecting field samples for screening and/or laboratory analysis (air, soil, groundwater, and water)n Conducting Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards, EPA and NYSDEC requirements/regulations, providing oversight and sampling during the installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, overseeing remedial activities, managing analytical data (tabulation, QA/QC and evaluation of data)n Preparing plans/maps/boring logsn Preparing writing technical reports and work plansn Responding to releases of oil and hazardous materialsn Working with federal and state regulatorsn Assisting with wetlands delineations, permitting, stormwater sampling, construction observation, inspections, as necessary.nnWhat you will bring:nn Minimum Bacheloru2019s degree in geology or environmental science, Masters preferred n 0 to 3 years of experiencen Experience working in field setting (sample collection, construction oversight)n Experience with stormwater sampling and inspection a plusn A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others n Excellent written and verbal communication skillsn Able to handle flexible workloadn Work well with multiple staff membersn Some travel will be required to conduct field workn Valid driveru2019s license is required n The ability to work independently and as part of a teamn AutoCAD experience preferrednn#LI-Hybrid nOverviewnInnovative and reliable for more than a century, Weston & Sampson strives to make the world a better place through interdisciplinary design, engineering, and environmental services.
