Purpose:

The Lead Deep Learning Scientist is part of the Machine Learning & AI team within the Data Science CoE .

Responsible for leveraging the latest deep learning techniques and frameworks as part of the process of initiating, developing & delivering of machine learning solutions in an agile fashion to the business in order to provide insights & improvement to business processes, or support the creation of innovative business models.

Use data and their analytical ability to find and interpret rich and varied data sources (such as videos, images and textual information); manage large amounts of data; merge data sources; ensure consistency of datasets; create visualizations to aid in understanding data; build deep learning models using the data; and present and communicate the data insights/findings and produce and present results with dashboard

Accountable for mentoring, coaching and supporting more junior colleagues in developing deep learning skills and providing peer reviews to ensure quality deliverables.

Accountabilities:

Preparing and Identifying Requirements for a Machine Learning/Deep Learning

Preparing a Work Scope for a Machine Learning project

Executing the Deep Learning/Machine Learning Work Scope

Final Review of the Machine Learning Service/Work

Closeout, Quality Review, and Customer Satisfaction Survey

Reviewing the work of more junior colleagues and providing coaching, mentoring and support in the area of deep learning

Within the defined scope of the Analytics discipline:

Defining Objectives and Strategies for Information and Data exploitation through analytics

Defining and maintaining Policies and Standards for Information and Data analytic

Developing Roles, Responsibilities, and Competencies for Information and Data analytics

Development and execution of Enterprise Improvement Plan for Information and Data analytics

Special Challenges:

Building constructive and trusting relationships with mostly remote business stakeholders

Dealing with challenges in data acquisition from other parts of the business

Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, theoretical science, operational research, engineering or computer science. PHD in relevant domain is strongly preferred

Minimum of 5 years experience in Reseach and Development for Deep Learning and AI for different domains

Significant experience in delivering or managing data science and/or machine learning delivery in a corporate environment

Project or program management experience (on business or technical side)

Proven experience of Advanced Analytics solution deployment is essential.

Naturally adept and significant experience of framing business problems in the context of advanced analytics

Must have strong technical skills and direct, hands-on experience of developing digital products involving algorithms

Experience with latest technologies (such as Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB etc.) as well as key frameworks (MXnet, Caffe, Tensorflow, Theano, CNTK etc.) strongly preferred

Skilled in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Data Design Integrity, and Value Exploitation

Demonstrated capability in dealing with senior leadership in global organizations is essential.

Awareness of lifecycle, data management, information, data strategy, and governance is desirable le

Commercial skills are an advantage.

Have strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Is highly experienced in communicating with business at all levels.

Position requires business knowledge of:

Hands-on code development (R, Python, MatLab, Alteryx, SAS, SQL or other development languages)

Use of advanced analytics technology in the context of application deployment

Expertise in data source extraction (ETL) is also strongly preferable (HANA, SQL, Oracle, SharePoint, Hadoop, Spark (Databricks), Alteryx, Talend, Informatica, StreamSets)
