QuantiTech is currently seeking a Nuclear Radiation Hardness & Survivability Scientist\/Engineer to support our customer at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) The incumbent will support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test and Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in program execution for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) and Minuteman III (MMIII) Test Team located at Hill AFB, UT. The incumbent provides technical perspective in test and evaluation for multiple ICBM programs, supporting the larger team in assessing overall weapon system performance. A strong background in combined radiation effects test and evaluation is required for program support, test and evaluation planning review and assessment support, and test and evaluation infrastructure analysis support for the LDTO. Scope will span the developmental stages through acceptance for flight, and from component level to complete systems testing. Duties include, but not limited to: Support and represent ICBM program objectives relative to nuclear weapon system developmental test and evaluation requirements and plans in the areas of weapon system radiation hardness Identify and assess certification test requirements and processes Review and assess the adequacy of related program developmental test and evaluation plans, including proposed resources (personnel, facilities, computational capabilities and equipment) and identify any deficiencies, issues or concerns to LDTO leadership in a timely manner Develop, monitor, and report risk analysis of test plans Coordinate and interface with external testing agencies associated with the program Observe related testing activities at various contractor and\/or government test sites as needed and summarize results, deficiencies, issues, or concerns to LDTO leadership Prepare for and participate in Integrated Product Team and Integrated Test Team meetings and attend System Requirements, Preliminary Design, and Critical Design Reviews Review test documents, conduct Technical Review Boards and Safety Review Boards, and attend Test Readiness Review meetings. Provide an Operational Test Readiness Review or System Operational Test Review input as needed. Contribute to the deficiency reporting process as warranted Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of legacy Minuteman III system development testing processes and requirements is desired Familiarity with combined radiation effects in electronic devices, circuits, and systems of circuits, with radiation test techniques and facilities, and the methodology to confirm that the system will survive the environment. Travel is anticipated to support and participate in briefings, reviews, and related testing activities Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Level 2 positions : Requires up to 3 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline. Level 3 positions : Requires 3 to 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline. Level 4 positions : Requires over 10 years of experience and a Master's degree in the applicable discipline.
