Job DescriptionThe Microbiologist is a key role in the sterile manufacturing site to test environmental monitoring, raw material, finished product, stability and validation samples.The person will complete these tasks within cGMP and company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Perform testing of WFI, Clean Steam, Air samples, pre-treatment water, Raw Materials, In-process, Finished Product and Stability Samples
Perform Method Validations for methods such as Sterility and Bioburden
Evaluation of Environmental Monitoring Testing media plates of controlled rooms and environment
Identification of isolates from control rooms, raw materials, in-process samples, finished product samples, stability samples
Environmental Monitoring of Sterility Assurance Laboratory, Laminar Flow Hoods in Microbiology and Media Preparation laboratories
Release and Testing Biological Indicators to support Validation activities
Preparation and Testing of Media including growth promotion
Review and approval of quality related documents (i.e.prepare protocols, write reports, revise SOPs and test methods)
Provide technical support in out of specification investigations and environmental monitoring excursion investigations
Trend environmental monitoring results such as WFI, personnel monitoring, room monitoring
Stand frequently, climb ladder occasionally
Other special projects (i.e.Disinfectant Efficacy Study) Job RequirementsExperience Minimum 1 \u2013 3 years experience in QC Microbiology laboratory
Familiarity with cGMPs
Preferrably to have experience in an aseptic manufacturing facility Education BS degree in science or related field, preferrably to have BS in Microbiology Technical Good laboratory technique, such as pipetting and aseptic techniques
Knowledge of cGMP and Quality Systems.Good computer skills
Excellent organizational skills Behavioral Self-initiating\/self-directed
Have strong collaboration skills with all departments
Able to manage competing priorities
Ability to communicate effectively defending quality initiatives and compliance Language English
Fluent Spanish is a plus
