My client has a great opportunity to make an impact in the Neuropharmacology field. They are looking for a Scientist in the Behavioral Pharmacology group to take on the following tasks: Design and perform experiments (with a focus on traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries and PTSD) Effectively document results, perform data analysis, and write reports. Conduct surgeries, handling, dosing (IV, SC, IP, and PO), pharmacology, tissue dissections and testing. Write grants to support trauma research efforts. Train and direct scientists as needed. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports, and contribute to manuscript preparation.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: PhD degree in neuropharmacology or relevant fields. Hands-on experience in rodent trauma research including spinal cord injury, PTSD and traumatic brain injury. Surgery, handling, dosing (IV, SC, IP, and PO), pharmacology, tissue dissections and testing. Histological skills are preferred. Able to design experiments, effectively document results, analyze data, and write reports. Management experience is required, as well as superior communication skills and ability to multi-task. Demonstrated record of accomplishment is a must.
