Summary

We are looking for an innovative, experienced and passionate Research Scientist to join the Cardiovascular and Fibrosis Translational Research Group within the Cardiovascular and Fibrosis Discovery Biology Department

The successful candidate should be highly motivated and collaborative with the ability to work on multiple translational projects simultaneously. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated translational research experience as well as experience in cardiac, lung and liver fibrotic diseases.

Execute cell-based, molecular and biochemical assays to support ongoing Translational Research target engagement and pharmacodynamics biomarkers identification and validation.

Collaborate with Leads Discovery & Optimization (LDO) and Translational Sciences (TS) groups, actively evaluate, adopt and implement emerging technologies and experimental techniques to enhance Translational Research biomarker assays development.

Document, analyze, and interprets experiment results.

Present results and conclusions in a variety of team settings.

Keeps current on relevant published literature.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in cell or molecular biology, in vitro pharmacology or related discipline with at least 5 years work experience or Master's degree with at least 3 years work experience, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry

Experience with RNA/DNA/protein-based Translational biomarker technologies: RNASeq, RNAScope, qPCR, multiplex cytokine/chemokine analysis, Somascan, whole blood flow cytometry analysis, in vitro cell-based assays, ELISA, MSD, western blots, etc.

Ability to plan and execute experiments under guidance and demonstrate excellence in data analysis and interpretation.

Self-starter, highly-motivated and collaborative individual. Passionate for learning and taking on new challenges.

Excellent organizational skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
