Position Summary:

We seek a highly creative and driven Scientist to join our Applications team. You will work within a highly dynamic group that encompasses R&D;, marketing, product management, and be responsible for developing new applications of the RNAscope technology and leading collaborative research projects with a primary focus in neuroscience, among other research areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate new applications of the RNAscope technology for a variety of research areas, like neuroscience, single cell RNAseq validation etc.

Lead internal and external scientific collaboration projects

Create experimental design, execute experiments, perform data analysis, and prepare data for external communication

Be scientific representative at major scientific conferences through abstract submission and poster presentations

Present RNAscope applications through webinars, seminars at customer sites, and pre-sales consultations

Prepare peer-reviewed manuscripts and review ACD’s rapidly growing publications (2600 )

Collaborate with sales and marketing to generate scientific commercial documents (white papers, application notes, technical notes, etc).

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Ph.D. in biological sciences, preferably neuroscience, or molecular biology

Strong experience in tissue- and cell-based assays such as Immunohistochemistry and In situ hybridization

Broad experience in general molecular biology techniques and familiarity with genomic technologies such as next-gen sequencing and single-cell RNAseq

Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding presentation skills are a must

Strong publication record and scientific conference presence.
