The Technical Support Scientist is a position critical to supporting both **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s scientific and commercial organizations and our customer’s technical needs in the constantly evolving domain of CRISPR/Genome Engineering. This role would focus on effectively managing technical support discussions between **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and our customers and involves working closely with cell engineering, support, and sales teams to ensure excellent technical success for novice to expert level CRISPR researchers with our range of genome engineering products. Additionally, the Technical Support Scientist will be expected to provide supplementary support to external sales teams through customer on-site visits. What Youll Do
Own the technical and scientific success of our customer experience with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s CRISPR genome engineering products.
Assist with generating and maintaining online support content and resources.
Provide excellent scientific and customer support throughout the entire CRISPR experimental outline: pre-experiment, in experiment and post-experiment.
Provide timely support to CRISPR researchers through email, phone calls and on-site visits (when necessary).
Work collaboratively with sales, product, and commercial software teams to identify customer needs, product improvements or sales opportunities
Keep commercial teams informed on customer support metrics.
Maintain a good working knowledge of relevant CRISPR/Genome Engineering publications; keep up to date on the latest reports and research trends from the literature; attend relevant conferences.
Up to 20% national travel may be required to support the sales team in customer meetings.
PhD in a relevant biological field (e.g., Molecular/Cell Biology, Microbiology, Synthetic Biology).
1-2 years of hands on experience with mammalian cell culture and CRISPR gene editing techniques (required).
Strong technical knowledge around experimental design, execution, analysis, and troubleshooting portions of Genome Engineering/CRISPR workflows.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaborative and networking skills – both towards other scientists/customers and internal science, support and sales teams.
Ability to quickly learn and implement software tools for support management and metrics
Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in a fast paced, startup culture and team environment.
Ability to travel nationally up to 20% time.
