Catalent is hiring a Research Scientist with a strong desire to work as the interface of chemical biology and drug development in Emeryville, CA.
The Research Scientist will demonstrate a broad range of expertise, including a working knowledge of synthetic chemistry, protein production, bioconjugation, and cell biology with an emphasis on immunology. The Research Scientist will i nitiate, direct and execute scientific research for innovation and process improvements to meet project milestones and deliverables.
This role advances the Patient First philosophy by focusing on the innovation and development of next-generation biologic drugs to improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for patients with life-threatening illnesses.
• Acts as the technical lead for client development projects (including DOE), communicates project status and effectively provides technical explanation/rationalization.
• Critically analyzes complex data, interprets and integrates experimental results with project objectives.
•Maintains an accurate lab notebook to support tech transfer and the protection of intellectual property.
•Communicates results to the broader scientific community through publications and presentations.
•Publishes results in peer reviewed journals.
• Writes complex procedural SOPs, batch production records and reports.
• Accurately reviews batch records and other data, ensuring consistency.
•PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline
•5 years post-graduate experience.
•Experience in animal models of human disease will be favorably considered.
