Duties & Responsibilities:
Must possess over 20 years of experience working within the DoD market segment with an emphasis in the Science & Technology (S&T;) and Research and Development (R&D;) Realm. Must possess an above average working knowledge of DoD 5000 Weapon System Development requirements and possess a comprehensive understanding of the Defense Acquisition Guide (DAG) for system engineering. Must be familiar with Optical Sensor Technologies and current Optical Data Analysis techniques in order to develop comprehensive and accurate trade studies to help guide prospective DoD customers in the validation of promising S&T; and R&D; system candidates. Experience with performing optical data analyses and sensor trade studies for the creation of new optical data analysis and visualization is a must. Must possess experience with both Kinetic & Direct Energy systems, with thorough experience with high-energy lasers and laser lethality testing and analysis. Additionally prospective candidate must have experience with developing high altitude projectile discrimination algorithms. Prospective candidate must also be able to provide extensive support to the government in developing a portfolio of infrared hyperspectral systems for the standoff detection of explosives. Must be able to develop a prospective system through concept definition; program planning; stakeholder coordination; requirements definition; systems engineering; key documentation preparation including concept of operation; all aspects of hardware/software design, development and integration; test design, execution and performance analyses; deployment logistics; user testing, operational evaluations and trouble-shooting; and system deployment.
