Responsibilities - External:
Provide statistical and analytical support to Staff Engineering and Operations including querying, extracting, managing and analyzing multiple, complex datasets ensuring data integrity, quality, and timeliness of results. Evaluate and draw conclusions from various data using the following techniques: interpretation, forecasting and other operations research techniques. Actively participates in presentation of results both in support and as a lead analyst.
Responsibilities Include:
Analyze data to detect, and create timely awareness of trends and their effect on business practices or corporate performance.
Integrate and analyze data from internal systems and other sources to develop input for the creation of procedures and guidelines, management tools, and processes to resolve identified problems.
Produce analysis reports and conduct operational analysis to quantify risk and exposure.
Participate in standards development, provide consultation on data accuracy and incorporate cross-departmental data into analysis where additional insight is needed.
Collect and audit data, for all lines of business and corporate entities.
Performs descriptive analyses and presents results.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - External:
Experience and Education:
BS in Statistics, Applied Math, Business or Operations Research.
5 years data analysis or similar industry experience a plus.
Competencies:
Proficiency in SQL and experience with statistical software packages
Analytical skills including critical thinking, data mining, data modeling data warehouse design/develop, database design/ data structure
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Successfully works on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong abilities with all Microsoft Office products, specifically using Excel and Access
