A LIFE-CHANGING CAREER

RESPONSIBILITIES: We are a laboratory interested in understanding and manipulating T cell responses targeting the TCR/CD3 complex. Our final goal is to exploit our findings on TCR/CD3 triggering to develop immunotherapies against cancer. We have a one-year renewable position for a post-doctoral fellow to work with a novel immunotherapy developed in our lab using mouse and mouse-humanized models of metastatic melanoma. Candidates interested in immunology and cancer immunotherapies, with a solid background in cellular immunology, protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology, that are highly self-motivated to develop a career in research, are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in mouse models for disease, gene expression in mammalian cells, and/or methods to study structure of proteins will be positively considered.

A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
