Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Lead Data Scientist, you will work with a talented and diverse team of Data Scientist, and have opportunities to:
Lead Data Scientists in delivering quality and innovative data products with measurable business value.
Leverage expert business/analytical knowledge to lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand highly complex business objectives and influence solution strategies. Organize and oversee the development of requirements and resources necessary to meet objectives.
Succinctly convey findings and influences senior executives, garner support for recommendations, drives business decisions, and influences business strategy.
Coach, mentor and guide Data Scientists in their career development and building professional capabilities.
Help management with strategic efforts, portfolio management, and value delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, consolidate and validate business assumptions prior to initiating and undertaking analytical projects.
Identify, gathers relevant data sources required to address identified problems.
Integrates/transforms disparate data sources and determines the appropriate techniques to apply.
Document assumptions, methodology, validation and testing to facilitate peer reviews.
Apply innovative, scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make 'insight to action' recommendations to answer the business objective and drive the appropriate change.
Communicate and effectively present findings, results and recommendations to the upper management.
Candidate Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Operational Research or a related discipline is required
6 years of experience in a decision support analytic function is required
4 years of quantitative analysis experience is required
Extensive experience applying statistical/mathematical decision-making and/or testing methodologies
Advanced skills or experience using analytics modeling tools
Demonstrated experience in influencing business decisions
3 years leading projects or a team of technical analysts
Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required
Preferred Candidate Qualifications
Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Operational Research or a related discipline
8 years’ experience in a decision support analytic function
6 years quantitative analysis experience
Extensive experience with statistical process control, experiment design, AB testing, data mining, association and correlation
Demonstrated experience in leading Agile teams
Experience working with large Big Data datasets
Experience on a Hadoop Platform
