Information scientist interprets and classifies information for input into computer. Information scientist develops the information systems in such a manner that the data can be stored, analyzed as well as retrieved by the members of the organization. Information scientist largely uses electronic resources for his/her work. Information scientist also develops databases. Information scientist creates and develops web content. Information scientist is responsible for information audits. It is the duty of the information scientist to write technical reports and also to make statistical analysis. Information scientist needs to explain the working of the system to the clients.
Information scientist has to possess the knowledge of electronic data processing principles. Information scientist needs to have excellent number skills as well as computer skills.
