Industry Jobs description
The industries which employ scientists include but are not limited to pharmaceutical, healthcare, information technology, food, construction, agriculture etc. Industry jobs are available to scientists in the fields of lab research, sales, marketing, technical writing, clinical research, strategic planning etc. In industry jobs, scientists are employed for a variety of jobs including independent research of existing and new products, designing and conducting experiments, interpreting and analyzing findings, identifying key clinical and research issues, supervising analysis of samples, arranging safe disposal of waste products accumulated during research activities, attending professional educational meetings and scientific workshops and writing reports and scientific papers. Other duties as per their specialties may include identifying and isolating micro-organisms in the pharmaceutical industry, working on the production of foods such as cheese in the food industry, helping develop pesticides and insecticides in the agriculture industry and so on.
Scientist industry job openings are available to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field from an accredited college. Supervisory and research positions may require a master’s degree or PhD. Previous experience and good written and research skills are also important.
