Pfizer had earlier declared about its plans to close its research and development centre situated at Sandwich in England during the next two years. At that time, the company employed around 2,400 workers in that location. Later, it changed plans and instead limited their number of employees. Till now, 1,500 employees have lost their jobs and Andrew McElroy, was one of them who launched his own “The Research Network”. Science Careers did an interview with him.
